These are other beginner solutions, if you want to check them out and see other ways of solving the Rubik's Cube.
- Beginner Solution to the Rubik's Cube - By Jasmine Lee. This is where I learned, but I think her way of solving the last layer makes it harder to go on to 3-look LL.
- How to Solve the Rubik's Cube - By Mark Jeays. A great and easy solution, but doesn't have any pictures.
- Corners-First Solution Method for Rubik's Cube - By Joesph Jelinek. A different approach to solving the Rubik's Cube.
- Lars Petrus's site - By Lars Petrus. Another approach. This one starts of by building a 2x2x2 "corner" and expanding.
- How to solve the Rubik's Cube - From the Wikibooks. Another text only solution.
Speedcubing
These are some speedcubing websites. There not for complete beginners, but can help people who want to get faster. Many of these pages have lists of algorithms for more advanced method.
- Speedcubing.com - Lots of speedcubing information and unofficial world record lists.
- World Cube Association - Home of the WCA, the offical holder of competitions and records. It has the official rankings lists.
- Cubefreak - Shotaro "Macky" Makisumi set the former world record of 12.11, and was the first person to average sub-15 in a competition. He is still very fast. Lots of speedcubing tips and info.
- Jessica Fridrich's site - Jessica invented a very popular speedcubing method that is very fast.
- Dan's Cubestation - Dan Harris is the current UK record holder. He holds the weekly Fewest Move Challenge.
- Lar's Vandenbergh's Cubezone - He is the current Belgium record holder, and the world record holder for the square-1.
- Bob Burton's Rubik's Cube Page - Bob is the American record holder of the Rubik's Magic.
- Lars Petrus's site - Lars invented his own way of solving the cube, and finished 4th in the first world championships.
- Gilles and His Cubes - Gilles made his own method and can average under 15 seconds with it. He has made some really amusing and random cube videos.
- Stefan Pochmann's Cube Corner - Stefan has his own way of solving the Rubik's Cube blindfolded. There's a lot of other stuff on his site too.
- Jon's Rubiks's Cube Page - Jon is really fast. He won the US Nationals of 2004 and was named the US Champion. (Actually he was second, Macky, who won first place, was not a US citizen so he could not get that title.)
- stiff_hands cube page - Olly has many many many tips of speedcubing and a great section on how to solve the cube blindfolded.
- StrangePuzzle.com- Chris Hunt's site lets people upload videos of themselves solving the cube or other puzzles. There are some really fast ones. Check it out!

These are weekly online contests.
- Speedsolving.com Weekly Forum Competitions - Submit your times every week and compare your times with other cubers.
- The Sunday Contest - Weekly contests, held by Jon Morris. There is only a 3x3 round. This contest has been going on for quite a few years.
- The Fewest Move Challenge - Held by Per Kristen Fredlund. Try to solve a cube in as few moves as possible"

Sick of the Rubik's Cube? You can find info on many (and I mean many) other mechanical Rubik-like puzzles here.
- TwistyPuzzles.com - Online collection of twisty puzzles. There's also an forum for people with interests in Rubik-like puzzles.
- Jaap's Puzzle Page - Lot's of info on twisty puzzles.
- Ton's Puzzle Building Corner - Ton has a large collection of twisty puzzles and a section on how to make some custom puzzles yourself.

- Rubik's Official Online Site - The official website of the Rubik's Cube. It sells Rubik's Cubes and other puzzles.
- Meffert's Puzzles - Uwe Meffert sells many variations of the Rubik's Cube.
- Amazon.com - Amazon.com sells 3x3x3's, 4x4x4's, and 5x5x5's.
- Puzzle-Shop - Hendrik Haak sells many different puzzles in his shop and is very convenient if you live in Europe.
- Cubesmith - Chris (I forgot his last name) sells replacement stickers for your twisty puzzles. They work very well!
- eBay - It's not a store, but you can find all sorts of things on eBay, including twisty puzzles.
- Speedsolving.com Wiki: Puzzle Shops - Speedsolving.com has a nice list of puzzle stores.

- Planet Puzzle - [Japanese] Katsuyuki Konishi's site is very detailed. Even if you can't read it (like me), it's still worth a look. You can try one of those online automatic translators like babelfish.com to translate the website.
